Rachel Van Devender

CHURCH REALATIONS, EVANGLISM, AND OUTREACH WORKER

Rachel Van Devender joined in the summer of 2015 and serves as a children’s and ladies ministry worker.  She works with afterschool programs, weekend retreats, girl’s day out, boy’s day out, and vacation Bible school programs.  She plays different characters to teach the children the gospel as well as life lessons.  Mazzy Dazzy was her original character she started in 2011.  She continues to add characters.  Some of the characters are Professor Higginbottom, a scientist and does experiments with the children.  Priscilla Stockhead is a scarecrow that guards the garden and pumpkin patch.  Grandma Christmas shows children how to make quick and easy snacks.  Rachel creates her own artwork and makes her own booklets to go with the lessons and memory verses.  She coordinates the teachers and lessons for the elementary week at Rock Haven Bible Camp. Rachel teaches a weekly Bible study and helps with the ladies retreat at Rock Haven
